The Brief

When it comes to cold beverages people still don’t drink a lot of Ice Tea in India because of colas and cold coffees are still the go to choice for youngsters. So the brand wishes to encourage them to listen to their own heart and try Lipton Ice Tea.

The Idea

Being yourself in every version.

“Chill Within”

TVC - 1 Min

The film opens on a robot among a group of young friends in an office. They are all sitting and chilling in the canteen. A robot is trying to impress them by narrating a joke. He is almost there at the punchline when a man sitting in the group prompts out "Baara baj gaye...." . While narrating this, he also looks at his watch and drops his drink. All his colleagues seated around him make a bored face. Some of them leave.

Next we see him in a play in the role of Hamlet where he says, in his robotic way and voice, "To be or not to be".

We see that the director gets irritated and shouts, "bring some emotion into it". But the robot says the same thing the same way again. The director starts pulling his hair.

Next we cut to a party where the robot gets into the middle of a group and does the famous Hrithik step. They all get embarrassed of him and leave. The robot feels dejected.

Next we now see the robot on stage doing karaoke. He sings the song I just called to say I love you, in his robotic voice. People boo him and throw stuff at him.

Next we now see the robot walking down a street. It's hot and there's dust and wind blowing around him. He is dejected and low and doesn’t know what to do. As he walks, he spots a Lipton Ice Tea Kiosk with a small billboard over it that says Listen to your chill. He goes to the kiosk and gets a Lipton Ice Tea. He sees the billboard and gulps from the bottle exactly as the human drinks in the billboard. When he is finished, his eyes brighten and he finally sees the light.

We now see him narrating a joke to his colleagues, he says in his same robotic style... A robot walks into a bar and says, “I'll have a screwdriver.” Everyone bursts out laughing. They give him high-fives.

We now see him in a play, on stage. He looks at a little girl and says "Wall E" in his robotic voice. The crowd goes mad. They give him a standing ovation.

Next we see him in a party where the robot is now surrounded by awed people. They have all stopped dancing to see him. We see that he is doing the robot dance. They all start imitating his steps and actually enjoy the moment.

We cut to the karaoke place where he now sings the song Technologic, by Daft Punk in his robotic voice. People just love him.

We now see him on a yacht party, drinking LIT, surrounded by friends who love him for what he is.

We see the product shots and the logo.
